The English Bridge Union Limited (EBU) is a membership-funded organisation committed to promoting the game of duplicate bridge. It is also a National Bridge Organisation in its own right affiliated to the European Bridge League and the World Bridge Federation.
The EBU is made up of 39 constituent County Associations each with nominees holding shares. At its AGM in October, the shareholders elect a Board of ten directors and then, among their number, a Chairman and Vice-Chairman.
We greatly appreciated and valued the assistance willingly given by all the Centre staff both seen and unseen who worked so hard during the Championship. The happy atmosphere within the Centre was in no small part due to the expertise and teamwork show by all concerned. But the Centre's contribution was much wider than this. It was a treat to deal with professionals who could be relied on both to help hammer out solutions to any problems and to carry out their commitments cheerfully and effectively.
