All of the accommodation on our website has been inspected either by the AA or by Visit Britain*.
Star ratings
The national assessing bodies now assess accommodation to the same standards and award one to five stars. These star ratings reflect the overall quality of the experience. The type of accommodation is shown clearly below the stars and includes:

Star ratings
For all types of accommodation the level of facilities and services will increase with the number of stars. Here is an easy guideline:
  • Simple, Practical, no frills
  • Well presented and well run
  • Good level of quality and comfort
  • Excellent standard throughout
  • Exceptional with a degree of luxury
Diamond ratings
The diamond ratings that have been applied to guest accommodation are being phased out and replaced by stars. This transition will be complete by the end of 2007. When booking star-rated serviced accommodation, it is therefore important to be clear if their stars relate to a HOTEL grading or a GUEST ACCOMMODATION grading.
Some accommodation may also show membership of local and national associations:
Some accommodation providers may already be displaying the Visit Britain Quality Rose. The Quality Rose is the mark of England’s official quality assessment scheme, and to make things simpler will be the same as those awarded by the AA and RAC, they will apply nationwide, will be reviewed regularly, and awarded by Visit Britain. Gradually all accommodation will be rated by stars. Visit for more information.

This booklet provides information on the accessibility within the Bay and a wide range of their facilities including accommodation, parking transport, equipment hire, toilets and attractions.

The Riviera International Conference Centre are keen to promote all things “green”. The Centre prides itself in its own green awareness and is responsible for encouraging its visitors to go green too.
